NWIAL 2022 Scholarship's



Below are the Rules for the NWIAL 2022 Scholarship's, please download the application at the bottom of this page and follow the instructions to submit it.



NORTHWEST ILLINOIS AREA LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP

2022

(RULES AND APPLICATION)

1. Four (4) $1000.00 Scholarships will be awarded each year.

2. Applicants must be a member, spouse, child, stepchild, grandchild or legally adopted a child of a member of NWIAL-APWU #7140, In good standing for one year immediately preceding the application deadline.

3. Scholarship recipient must attend an accredited College, University, Vocational School or Community College or accredited online course(s) of his or her choice.

4. Application for Scholarship must be made on an application form in your Union Room or a 3 x 5 card with the applicant's name, member's name, address, and telephone number. Applications must be received by 2:30 p.m. on August 14, 2022. Only one (1) application form per person. No winner shall receive more than one (1) Scholarship from the NWIAL. If more than one relative is a member of the Local, please put all names on the application.

5. Submit application(s) to your Local Union Room, fax to (630) 833-0248 or mail to:

6. The amount of the Scholarship will be deposited with the College or University attended by the winner. Winner must notify the NWIAL as to where he or she will be attending. Winner must enroll by December 31, 2022.

7. If your child, etc., is a winner, documentation will be required.

Example: Birth Certificate, Legal Guardianship, etc...

8. Winners selected through a random drawing at the August 14, 2022 Membership Meeting. Two (2) alternates will be selected, in the event of disqualification or rejection of the award by the winner.
